bakko

Bakko is an exciting addition to the Seeuferhause breeding program, and a culmination of many, many years of research into the working rottweiler bloodlines.

Bakko comes to Seeuferhause via frozen semen; originally bred in Holland, and raised and living in the USA with Kathleen Sanderson.

Bakko brings some of the best working bloodlines and rottweilers of the last few decades; carrying the influential lines of Aki von der Peeler Hutte through his most formidable sire Atilla and the hugely successful Turnleberg lines through his dam Caja vom Tunrleberg.

bakko3

Bakko is an athletic rottweiler with superb working drives and is a proven working dog competing successfully in the USA across a number of disciplines, including IPO and dock diving (not too many rottweilers would even contemplate this, let alone do it successfully)

Below are some words provided by Kathleen (during late 2014) describing Bakko and his heritage…..

In Phry’s favor are his unique pedigree that is line bred on Turnleberg yet free of Max, and ties in nicely with the E and C v Kinzigtal litters. Plus his sire’s litter was incredibly accomplished and consistent (I believe every dog in the litter was titled in IPO and had passing hips/elbows). Phry’s litter is also very consistent in working temperament and health – all 7 are in working homes, 5 have BHs, all have clear heads and good nerve, and all but one, I believe, have passed hips and elbows. I could be wrong, but given his pedigree, I expect Phry to be able to produce that same consistency and good health ratings. Particularly as he has OFA Excellent hips, clear elbows, heart cleared by echocardiogram, and clear eyes.

In addition, although he has currently earned only an IPO1 and FH, he is trained thru his IPO3 and will earn those titles hopefully in the spring of 2015. My plans for him then will be to compete at the National level in all breed competitions here in the US. Not too many Rottweilers are capable of doing so in a competitive manner, but he is. Plus, he has already earned High in Trial at the 2014 United States Rottweiler Club’s National Championship in one of the largest Rottweiler championships the US has seen in 10 years. He also currently owns the record for the breed in Extreme Vertical (dock diving ) in the United States – a record he hit his very first time trying the sport:) I know that doesn’t mean much, but he is a pretty freaking cool dog.

As this page goes to print Bakko is now IPOIII, having placed 2nd to his kennel mate at the RKNA Nationals!
