Drago is the newest addition to the Seeuferhause kennel. He comes to us via our very good friend Anu Vehvilainen from Finland. I want to thank Anu for making the frozen semen from this incredible rottweiler available to Australia exclusively through Seeuferhause.
Anu will be joining us in Australia just as the puppies are being born! Anu is here for holidays with her partner Johan and will conduct a 2 day workshop on the sport of IPO for Seeuferhause Rottweilers & Von Forell kennels.
Drago comes through some of the most influential lines of working rottweilers of the last 10-20 years. Names like Hero vom Hohegeiss, Aki von der Peeler Hutte, Karo vom Schwaiger Wappen don’t readily appear in modern rottweiler pedigrees, let alone have litters line bred on these pillars of the working bloodlines!
Unfortunately Drago passed away a few weeks ago, but prior to that was an international level competitor in IPO, and had the honour of achieving the highest protection score at the 2012 World Championships. Despite his ability to perform in an environment that requires the highest levels of drive, tenacity and energy, Drago lived comfortably in Anu’s apartment along with her other male rottweiler Giant vom Tanneneck. If this is not a demonstration of Drago’s thick nerves and stability then I don’t know what is.
This combination with Esky will produce very strong rottweilers with the genetic desire to work. Puppies will exhibit a robust character, confidence and drive levels to fulfill any role given to them. Experienced handlers are preferred as it may be an introduction to working rottweilers that the uninitiated are not prepared for.
